Workflow
Inspect captures the supported PostgreSQL catalog structure. Plan compares that snapshot with a desired schema and explicit rename mappings. Unsupported proposals are blocked with no partial operation list. A ready artifact can be saved and reviewed before apply.
Apply executes that saved supported artifact after validation and a source drift check performed after table locks are acquired. Target verification and migration history share the transaction with the application DDL. External DDL must be paused: relation locks cannot prevent every unrelated schema-level CREATE.
Verify checks the database independently afterwards. It accepts a desired schema or a saved plan’s target and reports match or structured drift in a read-only snapshot. A drift report does not repair the database or infer how the difference happened.
A match is a snapshot result, not a claim about application data or the historical execution of a particular plan. An unconfirmed commit still needs both structural checking and inspection of the recorded identifiers in history.
The six-session prototype is complete. See the reproducible walkthrough and capability matrix for demonstrated behavior and limits.
